Here are Amelia's latest spring portraits at 9 months old. She had a good well-check this week. She's still growing like a weed. 75th percentile in head circumference, 90th percentile in weight (21.13 lbs.), and 97th percentile in height (30 inches). And go figure: she woke up the morning after the appointment with a horrible runny nose and congestion. I'm guessing she's teething - no teeth yet, still waiting! She's drooling like crazy and running a low temp. I'm hoping for her sake that one pops through already! One of her latest tricks is standing by herself for a short period of time. She's cruising along the furniture and I don't think it will be long before she starts taking steps on her own. She LOVES reading "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" and "Goodnight Moon". Her arms flail up and down in the air and she kicks her heels against the floor, she gets so exciting while listening to these books. She's also waving "bye-bye" when you leave...and she's not liking when we leave in the morning! We've started the blowing kisses game to distract her, and it works most of the time. Only 5 more weeks of school left and we'll all be home together-can't wait to relish this family time so we can enjoy all her firsts all day long, instead of just a few hours at night!
